Various trails allow visitors to discover the region by bike. An especially beloved trail stretches from the Pléiades at 1360 metres above sea level to the Valley of Vevey. The mountain is a credit to its name, Pléiades, named for the star cluster in the constellation of Taurus, because it is home to the Astro Pléiades astronomy centre, which provides guests with the opportunity to get to know the Universe in a unique, didactic open-air setting. Get a fascinating view of the cosmos with 15 information points and an observatory.
Trains and cable cars will make your ascent simple, so that you can enjoy the breathtaking views and unforgettable mountain panorama.
Another great bike tour is from the town of Aigle. This is the world's biking centre and the headquarters of the International Cycling Union. In addition, Aigle has a 200m long, covered biking racetrack, a sports centre and a BMX Course. Thanks to the varied landscape, the town of Aigle is perfect for challenging routes for cyclists and mountain bikers.
Puidoux-Vevey (10 km)
Ride from Puidoux along narrow trails through the vineyards to Chexbres and then onto Vevey.
Palezieux – Lausanne (30 km)
Enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Geneva as you ride through forests and through beautiful vineyards. Treat yourself to a break at the viewing station of Mont Pèlerin before you return with the trains (combo-ticket bike).
